And the types of curriculum that will work well for us with the independence level my kids are at as well as the amount of attention I am able to put into the school day. And having that knowledge makes all the difference!

Doing the work doesn’t mean I have no doubts about the curriculum. But if I take a step back and look again at why I chose what I chose, pretty much every time I will come to the same conclusion and would choose it again.
I no longer choose things because it looks good on the shelf. Or because everyone I know uses it. I use a curriculum because it fills a need and goal we have in our homeschool.
Of course, this doesn’t mean homeschooling will be smooth from here out – quite the opposite. But it does mean that you won’t need to be switching curriculum mid-year unless your goals and needs change!
