The Mega Homeschool Planner and Essential Organizer from Homeschool Life Press is a great minimal yet thoughtful planner.
This homeschooling planner is a paperback planner measuring 8 x 10 and has a regular cardstock cover. Many of the pages have a minimal bullet-journal-like feel. It has several colors/themes in each version and comes in the following format editions:
Original Undated
Faith edition
Color edition
Dated edition
My review is based on the original undated version.
The opening pages contain a guide for using the planner followed with the following page spreads:
- resources
- accounts
- passwords
- connections
- reading list
- annual overview
- term goals
The planner is then broken down into monthly sections. Each month opens with a dashboard with goals, to-dos, and notes. It is followed by a monthly layout, a daily tracker, and weekly spreads that are titled “Lesson Planner”.
The pages are unlabeled otherwise, though so could easily be used how you wish.
For instance, the checklist could be used for habit tracking for you as well as your children. You could use it for attendance, assignments, chores, and even grade tracking.
The “lesson Planner” weekly pages could easily be used as a regular layout with Monday through Friday on rows and subjects across the top, or switch and plan all 7 days of the week in the columns and use the rows for subjects, children, chores, or even work planning.
I love the flexibility in this planner.
There are a few more pages at the back of the planner, including pages for attendance, a student checklist, budgeting, and space to review your year.
Homeschool Life Press also offers other planners, including a Daily homeschool journal, Student Planner, and a Unit study planner.
