Planning Less to Enjoy More

Have you ever noticed how November sneaks up on you? One minute you’re in the rhythm of fall lessons, and the next, there are holiday plans, family gatherings, and extra commitments everywhere you look.

This time of year can feel like a blur…but also a bit much.

For me, this is usually the season when I realize I’ve packed my days too tightly again. I want to do it all! The lessons, the baking, the memory-making, but what I really need is just a little more space.

So when Kerry reached out about being part of her 30 Days of Thanks Series over on How to Homeschool My Child,  I knew exactly what I wanted to write about – creating margin.

Not the kind on paper, but the kind in our lives.

Because margin is what gives you the breathing room to pause when a child needs extra help… to say yes to a spontaneous walk on a sunny day… or to sit and really enjoy a cup of cocoa without feeling guilty about what’s left undone.

To really soak up how wonderful it is to be a homeschool mom.

In the guest post, I share how learning to build margin into my homeschool has changed the way I approach busy seasons like this one, and how it can help you do the same.

If you’re starting to feel the squeeze of the season or simply need a little encouragement to slow down, I think you’ll really relate. Plus, there’s a free printable planner to help you out.

And while you’re there, take a peek at the Gratitude Challenge and giveaway happening all month long. It’s a sweet, simple way to add a little more thankfulness (and fun!) into your days.

Here’s to creating space for what truly matters.
